The 30 bedrooms at Castle Durrow are all unique and grandly furnished and a further 16 rooms are available to those who choose to wed on a Monday. Excellent preferential rates are available on accommodation for wedding guests and 2 to 3 night stays benefit from an even better offer.
Local farmhouses and bed and breakfasts also offer additional accommodation for those who need to arrange sleeping plans for a larger number of guests and most of these are within walking distance.
We, at Castle Durrow, will help you to plan your special day by letting you try items from our menus and sample the wines. When you arrive at the castle from one of the many local churches you will be treated to a chilled glass of champagne. Photographic opportunities at the 300 year old mansion are plentiful regardless of the weather.
The Bridal suite with its gorgeous four poster bed is included in the wedding packages and if your wedding falls mid-week the parents of the Bride and Groom also have complimentary bedrooms.
Our impressive Banquet Hall is a truly beautiful vision, dimmed and lit with candles and sparkling chandeliers. From the Banquet Hall, large French doors open out onto a terrace which is ideal for an evening Barbeque.
Fresh flowers which match the chosen colour scheme are arranged in tall clean vases on each table. Personalised, colour co-ordinated chocolate party favours are on each place setting and come with our compliments. We provide the Bride and Groom with a complete package price for their special day and more inexpensive packages are available mid-week during summer and autumn this year, as well as winter and spring next year.
Choosing your wedding meal is easy; we have an extensive variety of wedding menus available. The quality of our food and service is exquisite and we pride ourselves on the friendly approachable nature of our staff.
Each dish is prepared with the utmost care and to the highest standards, usually we use locally sourced produce and we often use vegetables and herbs from the kitchen gardens at the castle.
